For you, we are mobilizing our expertise and unique technology regarding the various possibilities of implementation of DGL : surface or core functionalization, grafting on supports, etc. The different generations of DGL and their high number of modification possibilities offer to our society a real multi-purpose use platform. Amino groups on the surface can be grafted by other functions such as CO2H, SO3H, PO3H, sugars, PEO, antibodies, etc. Thus, cationic DGL can be converted to anionic, neutral, hydrophilic or hydrophobic molecules.
It is also possible to encapsulate a fluorescent molecule (tag) in a DGL by binding it covalently to the DGL core. The complex DGL-fluorescein thus formed remains a biocompatible and non immunogenic product (in particular for applications in medical imagery).
By grafting a specific hapten at the surface of the DGL (multifunctional), a new complex DGL-fluorescein-hapten can be obtained and used to visualize a specific receptor.
Grafting of the DGL (cationic, anionic, etc.) on various solid supports leads to functionalized surfaces. This enlarges the field of applications of these original molecular tools.
